Platinum Card Members get up to $400 in dining credits to spend at over 2,000 restaurants around the world: up to $200 at participating restaurants in Australia and up to $200 to spend at participating restaurants abroad² (Terms, conditions, and exclusions apply. Insurance and Protection

Travel with Platinum Travel Insurance¹¹: You, your spouse and your dependent children, Additional Cardholders, their spouse and dependent children are eligible for insurance when you pay for a return trip with your Platinum Card or Membership Rewards Points. Terms, conditions and exclusions apply (such as maximum age limits, pre-existing medical conditions and cover limits).

Your Platinum Insurance includes Smartphone Front Screen Cover¹² when you pay for your smartphone with your Card, either outright or on a monthly contract.

Finally, Card Purchase Cover¹³ provides cover for theft or damage to eligible items within 90 days of purchase, while Card Refund Cover may be available if a retailer refuses to accept the return of an eligible item.

  1. 200,000 Bonus Membership Rewards® Points are only available to new American Express Card Members who apply online by 8 July 2025, are approved and spend $5,000 or more on eligible purchases on your new Card in the first 3 months from the Card approval date. Eligible purchases do not include Card fees and charges, for example annual fees, interest, late payment, cash advances, balance transfers, traveller’s cheques and foreign currency conversion.   2. Global Dining Credit.
    • Maximum amount back is $200 on spend at participating local restaurants (Local Dining Credit) and AUD$200 on spend at participating abroad restaurants (Abroad Dining Credit) per redemption period: Each redemption period resets on 1 January until the offer end date of 31 December 2025. The redemption periods are:
      • 05 July – 31 December 2022
      • 1 January – 31 December 2023
      • 1 January – 31 December 2024
    • Primary Card Member Only: The Benefit is only available to Primary American Express Australia Platinum Card Members using their Platinum Personal Charge Card. Transactions made with an Additional Card is not eligible for this Benefit.
    • Save this Benefit First: A one-time enrolment is required. You must first save the Benefit to your Platinum Card before making your payment to qualify for the Benefit. Benefit limited to the Card to which the offer is saved and only spend on this Card counts towards the Benefit. If you use another card to make a payment at any time, you will not be eligible for the Benefit on that card.
    • If you switch to a new Card product that is not eligible for this Benefit, enrolment will be removed from your Card Account. If a Card you hold is ineligible, you will not be able to see the Benefit, nor will you be able to save the Benefit to the Card. If you are no longer eligible for this Benefit due to a change in Account status, including but not limited to fraudulent flags, suspension or cancellation, it will be removed from your Account.
    • Eligible Transactions: Benefit only available for dine-in services made in-person at a participating restaurant, full list can be found here. Participating restaurant list subject to change without notice, please check before you dine as you won’t be eligible to receive a credit if the restaurant isn’t on the list at the time of your transaction.
    • Excluded Transactions: Benefit excludes purchases of gift cards and vouchers, transactions made towards deposits charged upfront by the venue, booking, cancellation, and no-show charges, takeaway or dine-at-home services. If you spend in a currency other than Australian Dollars a Currency Conversion Fee of 3% applies and this fee does not count towards the Benefit. For more information regarding charges made in foreign currencies refer to your Card Member Agreement.
    • Direct Payments Only: If you pay using payment processors such as QR payment or restaurant in-app purchases, you may not be eligible for the Benefit. Please request to pay at the restaurant’s designated checkout register.
    • Award of Credits: Credit(s) should appear on your billing statement within 30 days from the date of payment but may take longer. Credit(s) are not redeemable for cash or any other payment form. Credit may be reversed if your qualifying purchase is refunded or cancelled.
    • Expiry or Withdrawal of Benefit: The Benefit will expire on 31 December 2025. American Express can withdraw the Benefit at any time by giving you 60 days’ notice.
    • Your use of participating restaurants: Your purchase of goods and/or services from the participating brands is governed by their respective terms and conditions (including privacy policies). American Express is not responsible in any way for the goods and/or services of the participating brands. Inquiries or complaints related to the participating brands’ goods and/or services should be directed to their customer service.

Some Platinum event invitations are sent by post, however, most invites are sent by email only.  To enrol for American Express email marketing communications, visit americanexpress.com.au/email and check ‘yes’ for email under communication preferences.   5. Maximum 4 tickets per Account. Guests must be 18 years of age or older to attend. 1. Due to the rules and regulations of the private golf clubs, participation in the American Express Golf Invitational is restricted to existing members of a golf club. Membership numbers and handicaps of all players in your party must be submitted at the time of booking. On the day, groups will consist of four players. 2. All players must meet the Rules of Amateur Status to compete for the prestigious prizes. Players must not be, nor have ever held, Professional Status. Payment must be made with an American Express® Platinum Card bearing the Platinum Card Member’s name eligible for this offer.   6. Maximum 2 tickets per Account. Drivers must be over the age of 25 and hold a full Australian Driver’s License. Due to limited spaces available, tickets will be sold in groups of 2 only. Payment must be made with an American Express® Platinum Card bearing the Platinum Card Member’s name eligible for this offer. Ticket sales are non-refundable and cannot be resold, offered, promoted or used as prizes or for any other commercial purpose.   7. Amazon Prime Subscription Credit.
    • Benefit Limit is $84 per calendar year: The benefit value is capped at $84 in each calendar year, whether you are on a monthly or annual subscription. You cannot carry any unused benefit value from one calendar year into the next. If Amazon increases its subscription fees at any time, this benefit will not cover any amount exceeding the benefit limit and you must cover the difference.
    • Primary Card Member Only: The benefit is only available to the Primary American Express Australia Platinum Card Member using their Platinum Card; it is not available for payments made with any Additional Card.
    • Enrol Your Card First: You must first enrol your Platinum Card before paying your Amazon Prime subscription to qualify for the benefit. Only subscriptions paid after enrolment are eligible for the benefit. You should ensure that your Platinum Card is set as your default payment method with Amazon Prime to avoid missing the benefit. If you use another card to pay your Amazon Prime at any time, you will not be eligible for the benefit for payments made on that card.
    • Eligible Payments: Both monthly and annual subscriptions are eligible. The benefit only applies to Amazon Prime subscription payments, and excludes any additional purchases or charges, such as Prime Video purchases.
    • Expiry or Withdrawal of Prime Benefit: The Amazon Prime benefit will expire on 31 December 2025. American Express can withdraw the Amazon Prime benefit at any time by giving you 60 days’ notice. After the expiry or withdrawal of the benefit, credits will cease but your Amazon Prime subscription will continue unless you cancel it. You may cancel your Amazon subscription at any time by accessing ‘Manage Prime Membership‘ on your Amazon account and changing your membership settings.
    • Direct Payments Only: Your Amazon Prime subscription must be made in Australian Dollars online at amazon.com.au/prime or via the Amazon Prime app to be eligible for the benefit. If you pay using third party payment providers, such as PayPal or Buy Now Pay Later providers, you will not be eligible for the benefit.
    • About Credits: Credit(s) should appear on your billing statement within 30 days from the date of subscription payment but may take longer. Credit(s) are not redeemable for cash or any other payment form.
    • Your use of Amazon Prime: Your use of the Amazon Prime service (including your subscription) is governed solely by Amazon Prime’s terms and conditions (including privacy policies).   8. The Australian Premium Subscription benefit offer (‘Benefit’) is available to eligible American Express Australia Card Members (‘Card Members’). Once you have requested to enrol in The Australian Premium Subscription, American Express Australia Limited (‘American Express’) will determine your eligibility to enrol in the Benefit via the enrolment process. If eligible then American Express will share your enrolment information with Nationwide News Pty Ltd (‘News Corp’). News Corp may use this enrolment information in accordance with its privacy policy available here. The Benefit will provide eligible Card Members with; (a) a 12 month digital access to The Australian which provides premium content at theaustralian.com.au and via The Australian app; (b) eligibility to activate a digital subscription to the Wall Street Journal which will run concurrently with the subscription in (a) above; (c) a bespoke The Australian Premium e-newsletter sent every week and exclusive to subscribers of The Australian Premium subscription; and (d) access to The Australian Insiders’ Briefing virtual event held twice per calendar year. Eligible Card Members must activate the Benefit described in (a) above in order to be provided with the opportunity to activate or enjoy the other parts of the Benefit. Card Members are not required to pay for the Benefit. Subscriptions provided under the Benefit will be automatically renewed every 12 months provided American Express and News Corp continue their arrangements in relation to this Benefit.   9. Benefit is available to both Primary and Additional American Express Platinum Card Members. Enrolment via www.langtons.com.au/platinum and Client Services contact is required to be eligible for these benefits. One $50 welcome voucher may be redeemed per eligible Card Member, and is valid on purchases through the LANGTONS Client Services only with a minimum spend of $240 in a single transaction. The welcome voucher is only available to Card Members who are using LANGTONS Client Services for the first time. You must be at least 18 years of age to redeem this offer. The offer is not redeemable or exchangeable for cash or credit and is not valid for use on purchases outside LANGTONS Client Services. This offer is fulfilled by LANGTONS and American Express is not liable for the actions or inactions of such suppliers.       • b) Spend $10,000 or more in each 12-month membership period from benefit enrolment date to receive a complimentary bottle of wine valued up to $100 retail price.
      • c) Spend $25,000 or more in each 12-month membership period from benefit enrolment date to receive a complimentary bottle of wine valued up to $250 retail price.
      • d) Spend $50,000 or more in each 12-month membership period from benefit enrolment date to receive a complimentary bottle of Grange or a bottle of wine with a retail value at least equivalent to the market value of the current vintage of Grange. 
  10. The following are not Eligible Cards: Business Cards that are affiliated with a wholesale partner, American Express Business Travel Accounts, Government Cards, Corporate Purchasing Cards, Corporate Meeting Cards, Corporate Cards. To view Amex Offers, simply log into your Online Account or the American Express Mobile App. The account must being in good standing to be eligible for offers.
  11. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: If the unexpected happens on your travels and a medical emergency arises, your first port of call is Chubb Assistance.
