Qantas and BP Australia have launched their much-anticipated tie-up that sees Qantas Frequent Flyer become the cornerstone partner of BP’s new loyalty program, BP Rewards.
The BP Rewards program allows customers to earn either BP Points or Qantas Points on fuel and eligible in-store purchases across participating BP retail sites.
To earn Qantas Points with BP Rewards, customers must select the Qantas Points option. You’ll earn two points per litre of BP Ultimate Unleaded fuel, one point per litre of all other fuel, and one point per $1 spent in-store on eligible purchases.
If you hold the BP Plus fuel card, which is now a partner of Qantas’ loyalty program for businesses, Qantas Business Rewards, you will earn one point per litre of BP Ultimate Unleaded, one point per two litres of all other fuel, and one point per $2 spent in-store on eligible purchases. There’s also an opportunity to earn up to 100,000 bonus Qantas Points with BP Plus.
According to the T&Cs, eligible purchases exclude smoking products, gift cards (including iTunes), pre-paid mobile telephones, mobile recharge and pre-paid mobile phone Cards, lottery products, tolls, travel cards and public transport tickets or cards, cash outs, delivery charges, internet cafes, Australia Post or other parcel locker services, click and collect or home delivery services for products supplied from a Motor Fuel site, money transfer services or any other item not sold or paid for through the main point of sale transaction terminal at a BP site.
To celebrate the launch of the new partnership, there’s an opportunity for customers to earn 10 bonus Status Credits by joining BP Rewards and choosing to earn Qantas Points, plus earn an extra 10 bonus Status Credits per 1,000 Qantas Points earned at BP up to a maximum of 40 status credits. This ends on 30 June 2020.
