If you hold a batch of American Express Membership Rewards points and would like to use them for a hotel stay, right now you can score a handy bonus on transfers to the Hilton Honors and Marriott Bonvoy loyalty programs.
Amex is offering 30% bonus points on transfers to Hilton Honors and 50% on transfers to Marriott Bonvoy until the end of the month.
Your card must be enrolled in Amex’s Membership Rewards program to be able to manually transfer points. This includes the popular Explorer Credit Card (currently offering 50,000 bonus points to new card members) and the iconic Platinum Card (currently offering a huge 150,000 bonus points).
Transferring Membership Rewards points to Hilton or Marriott is a great way to save on luxury accommodation.
Both hotel groups have a huge number of properties worldwide, and redemption rates are solid.

You can also transfer Marriott Bonvoy points to dozens of airlines – a hack that lets you access more reward seats. These include American Airlines, All Nippon Airways, LATAM and many others.
For every 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points you transfer, you’ll receive a bonus 5,000 airline miles (with most partners).
Points transfers from Amex are easy – just visit the pages for Marriott or Hilton.
Transfers are normally immediate, though it can sometimes take a day or two.
