Qantas adds new Points Club benefits

Qantas has introduced new benefits for members of its Points Club program. The program, which was introduced in early 2020, rewards Qantas Frequent Flyer members who earn lots of points ‘on the ground’ as opposed to in the air.

There are two membership tiers: people who earn 150,000 points in their QFF membership year join the Points Club, while those who earn 350,000 points get into the more rewarding Points Club Plus. You keep that membership tier for the remainder of the year, plus the following year.

In addition to the existing benefits like lounge entries and hotel discounts, Qantas is rewarding members with:

  • Qantas Hotels vouchers: $50 for Points Club or $100 for Points Club Plus members (no minimum spend)
  • Qantas Wine vouchers on your birthday: $50 for Points Club or 2x$50 for Points Club Plus members (min spend $149)
  • a Milestone Bonus Reward of 2,500 bonus Qantas Points when you earn 250,000 Qantas Points in a membership year
  • unspecified “exclusive flying offers throughout the year” and “handpicked” lifestyle offers.

To receive the hotel and wine vouchers, you must have a valid email address and be opted in to receive ‘Exclusive offers for Qantas Frequent Flyers’ marketing emails.

It’s great to see Qantas further reward customers who don’t fly regularly but more than make up for it with their spending habits.
