One of the easiest ways to earn more points is shopping online for personal or household goods via Qantas’s and Velocity’s retail portals. They can connect you to hundreds of merchants, from large department stores to specialty outlets. You simply shop with the retailer in the usual way and Qantas/Virgin will track your purchase, with the points deposited in your account a few weeks later.
This strategy is especially lucrative when bonus points promotions are running, like they are now.
Qantas has some a modest offers available at the moment, including bonus points on purchases and free shipping. They are worth checking out here.
Virgin’s promo is more extensive: until 10 March, it’s offering double Velocity Points with all of its 200+ retail partners except eBay and Booktopia. This includes popular department stores like Myer and David Jones, and big online merchants like Asos and Kogan.
If you need to stock up on personal or household items or just love getting a good deal, it’s worth browsing through Qantas Shopping and the Velocity eStore to see what’s on offer.
