Qantas has an early Christmas gift for travellers with a sale and the release of more reward seats during the busy festive season and early 2019.

The “12 Holidays of Christmas Sale” launches today, giving customers the opportunity to access new sale fares every day for almost two weeks to destinations across Qantas’ international and domestic networks.

Qantas Frequent Flyer has also released several thousand additional reward seats, which can be redeemed using Qantas Points, for December and January, making last-minute travel more accessible in the peak holiday season.

12 Holidays of Christmas sale

Each destination will only be on sale for a limited time so customers will need to get in quick. Fares vary and select travel dates across next year apply.

Sale starts today with flights to UK and Europe including Melbourne-London from $1249 return, Brisbane-Athens from $1492 return, and Sydney-Rome from $1531 return.

Visit the 12 Holidays of Christmas Sale page on Qantas.com to discover the new destinations going on sale each day until Wednesday 12 December.

More reward seats released

Several thousand additional reward seats are available between now and end of January 2019. These can be redeemed for Qantas Points. Destinations include popular sun and snow holiday spots, as well as city favourites, across destinations in South East Asia, Japan, New Zealand and North America (including Canada and the US).

There are seats available in every cabin from Economy to First making premium travel more attainable for all frequent flyers.

Destinations include Auckland, Bangkok, Beijing, Christchurch, Dallas, Honolulu, Hong Kong, LA, Queenstown, San Francisco, Shanghai, Singapore, Vancouver and Tokyo.

Sure enough, I did a few searches on Qantas.com and found some extra award seat availability.

Extra seats are only available on selected flights so members are encouraged to visit Qantas.com sooner rather than later.

Qantas Chief Customer Officer Vanessa Hudson says: “The extra seats for Frequent Flyers are great news for people wanting to book a last-minute summer holiday. Reward seats are always in high demand, especially during the peak holiday season, so we’re expecting these seats for December and January to be snapped up quickly.”
