Virgin Australia has pulled back the curtains on its long-delayed lounge at Brisbane airport’s international terminal.
Called ‘My Lounge’, it’s operated by the UK-based No1 Lounges and welcomes eligible passengers from several other airlines as well as travellers looking for a pay-to-enter option.
Access is complimentary for Virgin Australia business class passengers, Velocity Gold and Platinum frequent flyers and those holding Virgin lounge membership when travelling to New Zealand only. Unfortunately Priority Pass and Virgin Australia single-entry lounge passes are not accepted.
Anyone travelling on any airline can also pay to get in, costing $30 per child aged 2-11 and $60 for those older when pre-booking online, while at the door the cost is $35/$70. There’s no charge for infants.
With a modest capacity of 108 guests, the lounge offers several zones for relaxing, dining and working. Guests can enjoy a hot and cold buffet, a self-serve bar that is open all day and barista-made coffee. Shower facilities are also available.
The lounge is open from 5 am to 10 pm daily.
